Financial Assistance
For a request of financial assistance to be accepted it must be made by and for an “active participant” in Compass Point Church via the application available below for download. Please take the time to read the "qualifications for assistance" before downloading the application. Completed applications may be emailed (scanned PDF files), turned into the Next Steps table on Sunday mornings or mailed to our offices.
Financial assistance matters will not be handled by phone, email or social media.
Qualifications For Assistance
1. A person will be considered an “active participant” when they: attend Sunday services on a regular basis (no less than two times per month), contribute financially to the mission of Compass Point Church, and participate in Bible study/ small group.
2. No applicant can receive more than $300 in any one year. This policy ensures that we are able to help as many in our congregation as have need.
3. No cash disbursements.
4. Financial assistance can only be requested for:
- Home Utility (Electric, Gas, Water)- This request will only be considered for the before mentioned utilities and must be accompanied by the bill. We will only pay directly to the utility company.
- Gas- This request is granted on rare occasion, but if approved, one of the Compass Point pastors will meet the applicant at a local gas station and provide a tank of gas. No gas cards will be given.
- Food- In case of emergency and upon approval, a prearranged assortment of food will be delivered to the applicant.
5. In most cases applications will be reviewed and an answer will be give within 24 hours.
6. Decisions will not be made on Sunday. Applications will be given and accepted on Sundays but no decisions will be made until the following Monday.
7. Application must be signed by applicant and spouse (when applicable)! In an effort to ensure all parties involved are aware of the request, no application will be processed without signatures from both husband and wife.
8. Special Consideration. Compass Point Church reserves the right to forgo rules governing the distribution of funds from the Benevolence fund in situations deemed to be a “tragic event.” A “tragic event” is determined by the pastoral staff of Compass Point Church.
